A Message Regarding COVID-19 and Distance Learning
Dear NSS Families,
New Summit School faculty and staff have been earnestly working to set up a distance learning program to continue your student’s academic growth during this difficult time. We plan to go live with a virtual and online learning program on Monday, March 23rd. In the coming days you will receive correspondence from your child’s principal and teachers specific to his or her course of study. Please be reassured NSS staff will be available to support you and your student through this transition.
The curriculum will be familiar to students, as these programs are already being used in the classroom. We will also be providing opportunities for students to meet with teachers through a virtual platform for tutorial and collaborative learning on a regular basis. Our IT and administrative staff will be available to troubleshoot any technological problems that may arise.
Until further notice, the school campus will remain closed to students for their safety and protection. We are sympathetic to the hardship this action places on our families, but the danger from the COVID-19 pandemic necessitates that we take these drastic measures.
We are all in this together and the NSS faculty and staff will continue to be here to support you and your child. Please reach out to us to express any concerns you may have.
